"Previously, Wood Middle School was disposing of 155.88 cubic yards per month with a head count of 696 students on campus. Out of 155.88 cubic yards 125.88 cubic yards were being land filled and 69 cubic yards were being recycled. Currently, Wood Middle School is disposing of 190.52 cubic yards per month with a head count of 785 students on campus. Of which, 60.52 cubic yards are being land filled and 130 cubic yards are being recycled which is an increased diversion rate of 39%. This diversion allows our school to comply with State mandates and qualify our district for available funding opportunities."
